Cultivating
Conscious
Communication
Rooted in Bhakti, Nada, and Hatha Yoga, I guide practices that help you return to your body, breath, voice, and spirit—an invitation to discover your subtle body and reclaim the freedom to be your whole self.
Offerings from the Heart
-
The Power of Sound
Rooted in the traditions of Nada Yoga and Bhakti practice, these sessions invite you to experience sound not just as something you hear, but as something you feel—a bridge between the physical and the subtle.
Mantra, toning, and vibrational healing work together to soften, shift, and align. I use voice, harmonium, crystal and brass singing bowls to create immersive soundscapes that support emotional release, nervous system regulation, and deep inner connection.
Through the resonance of sacred sound and silence, we access clarity, surrender, and remembrance.
-
The Sacred Form
Movement as meditation; breath as prayer.
Rooted in Hatha and Ashtanga, these strong, intentional practices invite strength, clarity, and devotion through repetition and rhythm.
Alongside this, I offer restorative yoga—quiet, slow movement and supported shapes that invite the body to soften, the mind to settle, and vital energy to return.
Woven through it all is the thread of pranayama—breathwork as a bridge between the physical and subtle body, guiding energy, awareness, and inner steadiness.
Together, these forms create a harmonious path: one of effort and ease, structure and surrender—nourishing the whole self from the inside out.
-
The Inner Journey
Private mentorship, ceremony, and integrative support for those walking a path of healing, remembering, and becoming.
In collaboration with Fairytale Wellness, I hold space for gatherings rooted in earth-honouring ritual, subtle body awareness, and community connection. These seasonal offerings—woven with intention, sound, movement, and shared presence—invite you to slow down, listen deeply, and return to what’s real.
Whether you’re moving through transition, seeking depth, or simply remembering who you are—this is a space to land and be held.
Do You Have a few
questions now…
-
Hatha is often mistaken for gentleness—but its roots are anything but soft. It comes from a lineage of powerful, disciplined yogis who surrendered themselves to intense practice not for personal gain, but for the peace and upliftment of others.
In its truest form, Hatha Yoga is a devotional path—a practice of aligning the body, mind, and energy with the ever-changing rhythm of nature. And nature is not always serene. It is wild, cyclical, demanding, and deeply beautiful.
Through structure, stillness, breath, and movement, Hatha becomes a vessel not just for strength, but for spiritual remembrance.
-
Bhakti is the yoga of devotion—not to dogma, but to love itself. It is the path of the heart, a surrender to something greater that pulses within and around us.
In Bhakti, we sing, chant, move, and offer our practice not for performance, but as prayer. It is intimate, emotional, and raw. Whether through mantra, ritual, storytelling, or quiet presence, Bhakti softens the walls around the heart and reminds us that we are never separate from the sacred.
This devotion can be directed toward a deity, nature, the breath, or simply the mystery of life. It meets each of us where we are.
-
Nada means sound. In yogic philosophy, Nada Yoga is the path of sound as a means to union—with self, source, and the subtle world.
Sound is a mechanical sense—it bypasses the intellect and speaks directly to the nervous system. The vibrations we hear and feel travel from the eardrum to the vagus nerve, shaping our state of being before thought even arises.
Practicing Nada Yoga reawakens our intuitive relationship with sound—helping us notice what soothes, what agitates, and how we listen within. Through mantra, toning, and deep listening, we shift from reactive to responsive, returning to a felt sense of wholeness in body, mind, and spirit.
-
Because it meets you where you are— in your body, your breath, your mind. These practices aren’t about perfection. They are tools for tuning in— to your nervous system, your emotions, and your inner calm. You don’t need to feel spiritual or religious to feel the deep peace that comes from breath, sound, and stillness. Whether you’re seeking relief from stress, clarity in thought, or simply a way to come back to yourself— this practice offers a gentle, powerful invitation to return home. No matter your background or beliefs, this is a space where you can find balance, presence, and freedom.
From what i do to who i am
Welcome to Subtle Body Freedom!
I am Kyla and my journey into the world of yoga and mindfulness began in 2016, triggered by my own experiences as a new mother struggling with self-doubt. It was during this time that I discovered the profound impact of mindfulness through the Mindful Parenting program created and led by Hunter Clark Fields. This pivotal moment marked the beginning of a transformative path that brought the most wonderful teachers into my life and eventually led to the birth of Subtle Body Freedom.
My guiding principle is to empower individuals to rediscover their true selves—beyond the physical exterior. I believe that each of us possesses the ability to connect with our breath, body, and mind in ways that unveil hidden strengths and wisdom. My mission is to be your companion on this journey of self-exploration and realization.
My offerings encompass movement classes and meditation sessions, thoughtfully designed to seamlessly integrate into your daily life. The beauty of online accessibility means that, regardless of your location, you can join me from the sanctuary of your home, your workplace, or anywhere in the world. My commitment is to make these transformative practices universally available, transcending barriers of distance and financial constraints. Through harnessing the power of your breath, the intelligence of your body, and the clarity of your mind, you'll embark on a voyage of holistic self-discovery.
Subtle Body Freedom is an invitation to anyone, seeking to reconnect with their essence and lead a life rich with purpose and fulfillment. By reshaping your mindset and embracing the potential of your words and thoughts, you'll not only redefine your self-concept but also transform your interactions with the world around you. This journey involves breaking free from limiting beliefs, nurturing self-love, and catalyzing meaningful change from within.
I invite you to join me on the path to Subtle Body Freedom—a journey that transcends the physical and dives into the infinite realm of possibilities within. Together, let's navigate the seas of self-discovery, one mindful breath at a time.
